Workshop on Inquiry in Primary Mathematics Teaching

In this workshop we will inquire together into the teaching of mathematics prompted by video excerpts of primary school lessons. Participants will engage in inquiry and/or observe it using one or more frameworks. Videos and transcripts (in English) will be provided as a basis for the inquiry. In light of the inquiry, we will discuss what is required to initiate and plan inquiry-based teaching of mathematics, how such inquiry can be made rigorous, and how such inquiry can improve mathematics teaching.
