Solving – creating – implementing! Mathematical modelling problems for your next lesson
A core competence for teachers to teach mathematical modelling is first of all solving modelling tasks, because mathematical modelling is not a spectator sport! Only then the learners' processes can be better understood. In the workshop, the participants will first solve a modelling problem, which will then be discussed in plenary. Afterwards, we will go one step further and discuss what criteria a modelling task must have, and then you will develop your own modelling task (in small groups) and we present and discuss some of them. Take the chance and try out your modelling task directly in the next maths lesson.
